Perfume Pointers

Not too long ago, my company organised a Perfume workshop for some of us. Here are some tips which I have picked up from the workshop to share with the rest. How to choose your signature scent:

1) Spray scents you like onto beauty counter scent strips and pop them in between books. After a few hours, check which scent you like best. If you have an old pair of gloves which has taken in your smell, bring it with you and spray the scent on each finger.

2) Visit the store to try your favourite scent on your skin this time. Try no more than 2. Leave it awhile to allow the fragrance to mix with your own natural scent.

3) If you love a scent and it smells wrong on you, the alternative is to choose a candle or bath oil. In that case, you'll still get to enjoy it.

4) Fragrance fact: scents containing lemon, lime, bergamot or rose not only smell gorgeous; they also repel mosquitoes.
